Frosty Friends - Dimension

Hello peeps, Justine has informed me her Christmas package has been safely delivered, so I can now share with you a sweet little finish I made for her. My little surprise box included various Christmas goodies and also a handmade cross stitch finish. Design chosen from Frosty Friends Dimension
This is a super cute kit of 6 Christmas ornaments based on Stacey Yacula's beautiful artwork After great difficulty in making my mind up, I opted to get stitching on Snowy Days! Stitched on the provided 16ct light blue Aida fabric & threads Worked 2 over 1 It took me AGES to finish it!!! These are small designs but are so detailled I made a small change and decided to stitch the background snowflakes using sparkly Kreinik thread instead of the charted plain white
Finished off as a flat ornament using beaded trim & a green bell from my stash
I will definitely have to stitch the other five designs, they are hard work but look fantastic.

Justine was really happy with her gifts and her li…

Winner will be announced in my next post, so stay tuned!

I am happy to post the chart worldwide but cannot guarantee you will receive it

Histoires de moutons - Jardin Privé | End Sep

Hello Peeps! The end of September has been and gone and it's time to share my progress on the last instalment of Solo September I have been working on Histoires de moutons from Jardin Privé This is how it will look when finished My mid September update My end September update Overall As you can see, not much was done during the second half of the month. Life was busy and I caught a cold which resulted in no stitching for well over a week. I am now feeling better and hope to work on this project for a few hours later this evening. Solo September has been fun but not really productive for me! I have decided to carry working on this sweet project for the time being. Marie Christine has also decided to start working on those adorable sheep! Hop over to her blog for a little peek, she is using a very pretty fluffy thread for her sheep :) On another note, I will be going on a cross stitch retreat soon and am planning on starting 3 small projects!!! I will share these with you all soo…

Histoires de moutons - Jardin Privé | Mid Sep Update

Good morning Peeps! Time for my mid month Solo September update
A little reminder of my choice
Histoires de moutons from Jardin Privé

As mentioned in my previous post, I was slightly delayed in starting, waiting for my fabric to be delivered. It arrived on the 2nd Sep and I have been stitching away everyday since Here is my progress
Apologies for the dark coloured picture, the weather is unfortunately not at its best this morning
Those little sheep are so much fun to stitch! Pattern 1 out of 4 is almost finished.
I plan on changing the date to 2016, of course. My model is stitched on 16ct Aida from Sew It All Sand Dune colour

Histoires de moutons - Jardin Privé

Good morning Peeps! It is the first day of the month, time for Solo September organised by Justine! I will be working exclusively on Histoires de moutons from Jardin Privé This is what it will look like when completed 4 designs in total that can be stitched individually or all together! My model will have them all, this should make a nice flock of sheep :) This project will be a new start, so I cannot show a progress picture this time. There is also the small matter of the fabric. I didn't have a piece big enough in my stash of the colour I had selected. So had to place a cheeky order with my favourite supplier Sew It All. I am hoping the fabric to arrive tomorrow. Wishing all the participants a great fun and plenty of happy stitching time! I will be back soon with an update, stay tuned! Toodles, Mii

Hello Peeps!

Blue Eyes | Kustom Krafts Inc | End of July Update

Good afternoon Peeps! I am back with my last update on the
Just One July challenge

A little reminder of the project I have been working on

At the beginning of July,

Mid month,
with a first page finish

And now at the end of the challenge
with another page finish!

I am extremely pleased with my progress!
Only 7 pages left to go...

This has been fun but
I am now glad to move on to a smaller and more colourful design.

Time for my beautiful tiger to go away for a little while.

Blue Eyes - Kustom Krafts Inc. | July 2016 Update

Hello Peeps! Time for my mid-month update on the Just One July challenge set up by Justine
A quick reminder
This is what the finished design should look like

This is where I was when I started the challenge

And this is where I am now, half way through the challenge

I am extremely happy with my progress,
as you can see, I have managed to finish a whole page!

I have also spent a little of my free time to make my first ever q-snap cover! I wanted one of those for ages but found them expensive to buy for what they actually are.. So I have dusted off my sewing machine,
followed this tutorial and voila!

My first of three :) This one is for my 11". I plan on making one for my 9" and 6"
Very easy to make and more importantly,
no need for a Sewing Machine PHD!

It was fun to actually make something that will definitely be used and come in handy.

Busy as a bee - Lizzie Kate

Good morning Peeps! Here is my latest finish
Busy as a bee from Lizzie Kate

Stitched on 16 count Aida fabric from Sew It All Rustico colour
Using recommended DMC threads, 2 over 1

I have also opted to use Kreinik thread as I wanted the bugs wings to be sparkly
(which obviously doesn't show well on my pictures!)

Started on the 11/06/2016
Finished on the 13/06/2016

Finished off as a small pincushion using bee printed fabric from my stash

Poussière De Fée - Nimuë

Hello Peeps! I have been busy working on something new these past few days Let's have a look... Poussière De Fée (Fairy Dust) From Nimuë My model was stitched on 16 count Aida fabric from my favourite supplier Sew It All Cabbage colour Worked 1 over 1, using a mix of DMC & Kreinik threads The instructions requested the use of mohair thread, which after a few crosses, I found awful to use and not pretty to look at, so I instead opted to use Kreinik metallic Afterall, fairies and sparkles are a perfect match!

Finished of pinkeep style with a first and poor attempt at twisted ribbon

Ooops! I have just noticed all my pictures are showing a tiny piece of turquoise thread... (from the piece of fabric I have used on the reverse) Started on the 26th May 2016 and finished on the 3rd June 2016 Toodles, Mii

Hello Peeps!

Today is a post for Lego fans
as I have finally been able to stitch some of these
famous little plastic characters!

After the fun of stitching them, I put together a Lego themed parcel for Justine's children.
I thought it would be a great surprise for them.

Marvel Spiderman Lego Minifigure
Stitched on 16 count Aida fabric from sew It All, antique white 2 over 1 using DMC threads
Simply framed with colourful background paper

  DC Superman Lego Minifigure
